convenient base for city walks and park explorations
I had a fantastic stay here with a wonderful and warm welcome from the staff and felt safe as a single traveler knowing there was always someone at reception. It’s just a short 500 meters from West Park where I enjoyed lovely strolls.

Warm and clean accommodations with a comfortable bed made for a pleasant work stay. The friendly staff, particularly Claudia, provided excellent assistance, even helping with luggage due to a knee injury. The breakfast was particularly noteworthy, featuring fresh fruits and a lovely dining atmosphere. the WiFi was more suited for browsing than streaming, and the restaurant and bar facilities, while inviting, were not utilized during my visit.

Charming Escape with Exceptional Service
Had a delightful stay with my partner. The warm reception was a highlight, with our room providing a cozy retreat after a day exploring. While breakfast was delicious at the nearby Chapel Ash Grill, the lounge area stole the show. Make sure to enjoy a nightcap there!

We were greeted by a friendly staff member who went above and beyond with service even as we arrived late in the evening. The room was spotless and spacious, which was great for my kids to run around a little after a long journey.
It wasn’t inexpensive but still worth it for the family comfort we received.

missingWrote a review on Oct 03georgian decorfresh breakfastuncomfortable bed
The Georgian decor adds a touch of elegance to the rooms, creating a warm atmosphere. Breakfast features a choice between continental and cooked options, with fresh ingredients adding to a satisfying start to the day.
Accommodations show significant wear. single glazed sash windows kept taped together and were easily compromised from the outside, creating security issues. The bed offered minimal support, contributing to discomfort, especially on warmer nights where absence of air conditioning left the room stifling. Noise from both foot traffic above and nearby seagulls made it challenging to get a decent night's sleep, ultimately impacting the trip.

The breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit and lovely coffee, and it's only a short stroll to West Park which offers gorgeous green space to relax after a busy day exploring the local museums.

missingWrote a review on Sept 22secure parkingcharming characterworn furnishings
The accommodation features a charming vintage character with unique architectural details, making it stand out in the area. It offers secure parking on-site, which is a relief in busy locations.
Our room, while spacious, felt rather tired with worn furnishings, and the windows were old, making them almost impossible to secure—added a layer of unease with noise from the outside. The temperature control was nonexistent, leading to an uncomfortable heat, especially during the night. The bedding was also too firm for my taste, which left me tossing and turning.

great solo stay
The single room was super comfy and clean, with a warm atmosphere. Loved the private bathroom, free toiletries, and electric kettle. Fresh breakfast with yummy options! Staff were super friendly, especially Claudia, who really made me feel welcome. The location was peaceful, and I could open the window for fresh air, which was a nice change from the usual stale hotel vibes.

The staff were incredibly friendly, particularly this one gal I met named Claudia, she really went outta her way to help me feel welcome. Plus, breakfast was cooked fresh, I had this full English and it just blew my expectations outta the water, truly a great way to start the day.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but for what you get it's pretty acceptable.
